What is Nose Aesthetics? In Which Situations and Why?

Nose aesthetics The way to look nicer in social environment, in business life, in the environment of friends and especially in photos on social media, and at the same time to breathe more easily, is to have a problem-free nose.

You may have a congenital and structurally defected nose, or you may have defects in your nose as a result of an accident or injury. In both cases, you can choose rhinoplasty turkey to solve your problem.

The nose is an organ in the middle of your face that cannot be hidden and affects the overall appearance of the face. Therefore, surgery is particularly important. Unlike many other organs, since the nose is also a functional organ, the person’s breathing quality should be good as well as being happy in shape after the surgery.

How Will My Nose Look After Rhinoplasty?

After rhinoplasty We get a lot of questions from our patients about how my nose will look. You have visual problems with your nose and you want to fix it, but you may not be able to predict how your new nose will look. You may like the nose of one of your friends or an actor in a TV show. You may also want your nose to resemble that person’s nose.

You can convey these requests to the surgeon you applied with the thought of rhinoplasty surgery during the examination. He or she will give you suggestions from an aesthetic point of view. Is the nose you want to have compatible with your face? isn’t it? and most likely he will design a different, unique, special nose for you, since the eyes, forehead, chin, lips, that is, other organs on his face are not the same as yours.

Nose aesthetic surgery The doctor you consulted for the interview will make comments about your face in general and will analyze your face and offer you suggestions. In other words, not only your nose, but also all organs on your face adjacent to your nose are evaluated in this examination. In aesthetic surgery, of course, there are certain rates that have emerged with certain evaluations, but your demands will also shape the planning of this surgery.

For this reason, your doctor will take the necessary time for you to understand your wishes about rhinoplasty and to produce a personal solution. Thus, he will understand you and your wishes, will present you with an objective point of view in advance how much of your wishes can be met with this surgery, and when you decide to have surgery, he will bring together your demands with his own aesthetic point of view and design your new nose.

Who is Suitable Candidate for Nose Aesthetics?

  •  Those who have a disproportionate nose with the rest of the face,
  • The tip of the nose looks too drooping  or people with a protruding nasal bridge,
  •  Broken or deformed noses due to trauma ,
  • Noses with three parts displaced by the effect of gravity with age,
  •  Noses that cause breathing difficulties due to deviation of the septum (i.e., the curvature of the bone in the midline of the nose) and perhaps this curvature can even be seen from the outside are generally candidates for rhinoplasty surgery.

Is Nose Aesthetics a Difficult Operation?

Rhinoplasty is a delicate, tedious and difficult operation with fine details for the surgeon, where even millimetric maneuvers can cause major changes.

The bone and especially the cartilage tissue in the nose is very sensitive and needs non-traumatic touches. Because these cartilages are more valuable than diamonds and if enough care is not taken, it can lead to results that are very difficult to return.

Sometimes people who have had one or more rhinoplasty operations in the past seek a doctor to have surgery again due to various dissatisfactions. These cases are called  revision rhinoplasty . In revision patients, from time to time, it may be necessary to take a piece of cartilage (cartilage graft) from the ribs with a small incision and use it to revise the nose in order to compensate for the cartilage removed in the first surgery and to correct the deformed nose.

The results will be satisfactory when rhinoplasty is performed by a surgeon who will choose and apply the appropriate technique for the patient and who has enough experience and practice in this field.

Is the Recovery Process After Rhinoplasty Difficult for the Patient?

After rhinoplasty Our patients find the surgery easier, more comfortable and painless than they expected. The method and hand sensitivity of the surgeon you choose for the surgery will affect the quality of your postoperative process. It has been noted that when the most advanced, conservative surgical methods and atraumatic technique are used, edema formation is minimal and bruising is almost absent in most of the cases.

Despite the appropriate technique, patients with sensitive skin may experience some swelling and bruising around the nose and eyes after nose surgery; When the recommendations of the surgeon performing the operation are followed, these conditions will almost completely heal on the 2nd and 3rd day.

The process after rhinoplasty is usually not painful. Mild pains that may occur can be easily controlled with painkillers.

How Can I Get Over the Post Rhinoplasty Process Easier?

After rhinoplasty, the surgeon’s surgical technique, expectation from the healing process and suggestions for you to spend this process comfortably may also be different. To inform in general terms, drinking 2-2.5 liters of water daily after rhinoplasty, consuming green tea provided that it does not exceed 2 cups, drinking a glass of beverages such as parsley juice or pineapple juice also supports rapid elimination of edema.

In addition, after rhinoplasty, the faster the patient returns to the pace of daily life and adapts, the body will perceive this and a relatively active   will respond positively to the healing process. Taking walks in the open air in the sunless and cool hours of the day, returning to work and working life in a short time according to the job description also contributes to the recovery process. will contribute positively.

What kind of process awaits me after rhinoplasty?

You are discharged from the hospital on the 1st day after rhinoplasty. When you go home, you can do your bathroom. We usually say to patients, “get out a little, take a walk”. Because the longer you go to bed, the later your payment will be. Some foods are beneficial for healing; green tea, parsley juice, pineapple.

These allow you to pay off a little more quickly. The most important thing here is to drink water. In order for you to sleep at night, you must not sleep at all during the day, you can take a shower once a day, your bands may get wet, and there will be no problem. Daily small walks will make you very happy. Because you will always be bored at home.

Never do too much of anything during your time at home. For example, you will not read a lot of books, you will not watch too much television, you will not be on the internet too much; We want you to do all of them as much as you do in normal life.

Generally, the first 3 days are a bit challenging for our patients because the silicone pads inside will give a feeling of fullness with the effect of edema. The edema creates a slightly more burning sensation, so this process is a little more difficult until the tampons are removed.

How Should I Clean My Nose After Rhinoplasty?

After rhinoplasty, we recommend a cream as a medicine for your nose, you apply the cream to the inside of your nose, and after half an hour, you try to clean the nose a little more with the spray we recommend.

There may be some blood leakage in your nose during the post-operative period. This leakage becomes a pool of blood on the inside of your nose and leaks from the nose as it is cleaned with a spray; It is not active bleeding.

Even if the tampon used is silicone and you do not feel its presence, even if it is corrugated, if the blood clot is not completely cleaned and clogs the groove in the silicone, you can breathe through the mouth.

In fact, the pads inside the nose are corrugated, and when it is cleaned well, when you breathe through your nose, the breath comes. But generally, the brain doesn’t feel like breathing because the air you take does not hit the mucous membranes, so every time you take a breath that you don’t do consciously, the body directs it to the mouth.

Just as you breathe through your mouth, not your nose, when you have the flu, it returns to the same system. After the surgery, there may be a sore throat due to anesthesia, and we recommend lozenges for them.

Should I Use Medication After Rhinoplasty?

  • At the end of your surgery, your doctor may have found it appropriate for you to stay in the hospital for one night. In this case, the necessary drugs (antibiotics, painkillers, etc.) will be administered through your vein in the hospital as your doctor recommends.
  • When you are discharged, she will also recommend some medicines to use at home.
  • Antibiotic can be given as a precaution for a certain period of time after the surgery.
  • Although the pain is not much, it can offer a pain reliever for the mild aches you may feel.
  • An antibiotic cream for intranasal application and a nasal spray for intranasal cleaning may also be recommended by your doctor.
  • After the surgery, if your doctor has placed silicone in the nose, this silicone may cause an itchy feeling and trigger sneezing. In this case, if you touch the tip of your nose tiny and press on your upper palate with your tongue, you will sneeze reflexively. If that doesn’t work, your doctor may recommend an antihistamine.
  • This information is for general information purposes only. Since each doctor’s treatment option is different, you only follow the medication recommendations of the doctor who performed your surgery.

Revision Nose Aesthetics (Re-Operation of Noses That Have Been Operated One or More Times Before)

Rhinoplasty is one of the most common operations performed by plastic surgeons. This surgery may cause changes in the appearance, structure and function of the nose. Rhinoplasty can increase or decrease the size of your nose. It can change the shape of your nose tip. It can narrow your nose wings and change the angle between your nose and lip.

There is no common rhinoplasty method that will meet the needs of all patients. Rhinoplasty surgery is personalized according to the needs of the patients.

After a previous rhinoplasty, the patient may have been dissatisfied in shape or his breathing complaints may not have improved/increased. In this case, it may be necessary to make a new rhinoplasty plan. These secondary surgeries are called Secondary Rhinoplasty (Revision Rhinoplasty).

The patient candidate applying for revision rhinoplasty is first directed to the surgeon who performed the first operation; Because the surgeon will know best with which technique the surgery was performed and what procedures he applied to the intranasal tissues. However, the patient may decide to have surgery with another surgeon for various reasons (such as lack of support from the other surgeon or loss of confidence).

Due to the negative rhinoplasty operations they have had in the past, some patients may think, “In my previous surgery or surgeries, the difficult parts of my nose were resolved, now I can achieve the perfect nose with a little touch in revision”.

While revision rhinoplasty operations sometimes require a very simple procedure, they often involve more difficult procedures than the previous surgery. Replacing the tissues that were taken more than necessary in the previous surgery may require very complicated procedures. These include grafts from behind the patient’s ear or rib  removal and reshaping of the missing cartilage tissue of the nose can be counted. A visible small (about 1 cm) scar is usually expected in the place where the ribs are taken.

Or  revision rhinoplasty  patients may have expectations such as “After the 2 surgeries I have already undergone, I am very tired, I am psychologically worn out, now I want a perfect result in this last surgery”.

The most suitable candidates for revision rhinoplasty surgery are those who expect improvement in nose shape rather than perfection. Because after one or more rhinoplasty you have had before, some deformations may have developed in your nasal tissues, bone and especially cartilage structure.

Some of your original nasal cartilage may have been removed and removed in your previous surgery. The surgeon for whom you plan revision rhinoplasty will have stated objectively and realistically during the pre-operative examination and interviews what kind of damage you have in your nose and how much of them can be corrected and how much cannot.

Although some predictions are made in the preoperative examination, it may sometimes be difficult to see the intranasal tissues during the surgery and to give you precise information until the surgical procedure begins. Therefore, the expectations that he has presented to you may be limited until he will see the existing problems clearly.

Of course, you can be sure that the surgeon you decide for your revision surgery will do their best during the operation and try to solve the existing problems. You should not forget that this surgery is planned to remove the traumas caused by previous surgeries/surgeries on your nose as best as possible, and to try to resolve deformities, and you should also remember after the surgery that you should not have expectations such as perfect symmetry and flawless appearance from the result.

Nose Aesthetics Prices – Nose Surgery Prices 2024

Nose aesthetics prices One of the most frequently asked questions by patients who start their research is how much budget they need for this surgery.

In order to learn the price of rhinoplasty, it would be appropriate to make an appointment with the doctor with whom you planned the operation. Since everyone’s nose structure, problems in the nose and the procedures to be done will be different from each other, the prices will differ from patient to patient. For this, first of all, the surgeon should examine the patient according to the nose structure and the operations to be performed on the nose.

Nose aesthetics price One of the other factors determining the price is the hospital chosen by the surgeon for the operation; Situations at the discretion of the surgeon, such as the patient’s discharge in the hours following the surgery or spending the night in the hospital, and the content of the hospital package will be taken into account when determining the cost.

Nose aesthetics prices In addition, many services such as the experience of the surgeon, the time allotted for the operation, the statistical satisfaction rate, the quality of post-operative consultancy services will be effective in determining the price of rhinoplasty.

Nose aesthetics prices is of course an important issue, but when it comes to your health and appearance, it is appropriate to think that it is a secondary consideration. You can contact us for information about Nose aesthetic prices 2024.

Open Technique in Nose Aesthetics? Closed Technique?

Among the surgeons who perform rhinoplasty, one of the most discussed and debated topics even in congresses and scientific meetings today, and one of the most curious by patients, is which technique will be used for the surgery.

Nose aesthetics can be done with two techniques called open technique and closed technique in general.

To roughly explain the most important difference between them;

In the open approach, an incision is made at the base of the nose, the nasal skin is stripped, and the necessary bone and cartilage changes are made. While the nose is still open, the surgeon decides on its final shape, repositions the last skin, closes the incision at the base of the nose with stitches, and finishes the operation.

In the closed technique, no incision is made from the lower base of the nose, and the skin above the nose is not lifted. In order to see and reach the bones and cartilages of the nose, incisions are made through the nose. Bone and cartilage deformities are corrected through small incisions made by the surgeon from the inside. The surgeon removes the maneuvers from these small incisions by enlarging them through the nostril and making them visible with special instruments called retractors used in the surgery.

Since the nasal skin is on the nose during these procedures, the surgeon immediately sees the effect of every change made inside the nose and continues the operation in the light of this image.

According to surgeons, both techniques have their own advantages and disadvantages.

As a result, each surgeon will aim the best for each of his patients and therefore will choose the technique he has more control over and perform the surgery with the method he feels comfortable with.

Question: Which Technique Should Be Applied in Nose Aesthetics?

Answer: The surgeon you prefer for the surgery, what technique has he studied and improved himself; While gaining surgical experience, he/she should apply the technique with which technique has achieved more successful results, and which technique has higher patient satisfaction.

Apart from these Basic Nose surgery techniques, karmarinoplasty, protective rhinoplasty technique called  preservation rhinoplasty with laser rhinoplasty You may also hear terms like   during your research. Patients who apply to us about rhinoplasty techniques are often confused because of the many names of these techniques. They may think, “I wonder which technique is better” and feel undecided.

At this point, each surgeon may think that his/her own technique is better. I think all techniques have their pros and cons. However,  the important thing here is the result  the patient is happy. In other words, after a patient’s surgery, how good a result you can provide to the patient. I think that’s exactly what matters.

As a surgeon who has applied and experienced both open and closed approaches in my rhinoplasty surgeries for many years, I generally prefer the  closed nose surgery  technique.

This is because; My patients recover faster, the edema disappears in a short time, the result satisfaction can be achieved in a shorter time and the satisfaction status continues in the long term and of course they have a more natural nose. To achieve this, I prefer this technique.

After the surgery, patients can scratch and move their noses,  We are trying to plan a nose surgery in such a way that he can touch and clean it without fear, feel his nose as before the surgery, or not be disturbed when wiping his nose. That’s why we’ve been using the concept called “Preservation Rhinoplasty” lately. The advantage of this is; With Nose Dorsum(back)  We can say that it is a surgery that creates less trauma to the tips of the nose and the results of the surgery look more natural.

If there are people around you who have had rhinoplasty, how do you know that they have had rhinoplasty? The nose is either shining, the nose is very pointed, it is not quite small enough, or there are irregularities on the dorsum; or the tip of the nose is a little more bulky, the side wings seem a little wider, or it has a columella (base of the nose) hanging down. All of these are mistakes and since you see these mistakes, you can understand that that person had a nose surgery.

Although the image of the patient’s face changes after rhinoplasty, it is necessary to avoid these mistakes so that it is not understood that he has had a rhinoplasty. That’s why we tend to use methods that affect surgeons doing this job more with less trauma. All of these are for our patient to recover faster and get healthier results.

Who Can Have Nose Surgery?

While many years ago, Aesthetic Operations were operations that could be performed by a certain group of the society in general, today they have become interventions that are accessible to anyone who wants them.

Nose surgery is one of the most frequently preferred aesthetic surgeries in our country and around the world.

In societies that become more social creatures day by day, people make attempts to solve the imperfections that catch their eyes, especially on their faces, in order to feel more beautiful, more well-groomed and more self-confident in the environments where they come together. With the widespread use of social media in recent years, activities such as taking more photos and sharing the photo with their acquaintances on social media have increased people’s interest in facial aesthetics, especially nose surgery.

This surgery, which is mostly done for visual purposes, can sometimes be performed to eliminate the health problem of the person’s nose and breathing problems. The aim is to obtain a more aesthetically beautiful and functionally healthier nose.

The changes that can be made with the nose surgery operation are of course within the limits. It should not be forgotten that; Our nose structure is not perfect before the operation, and we may not have the nose we dreamed of with millimetric measurements. The patients who are most satisfied with this operation are those who keep their expectations realistic.

In order to make the nose compatible with the face, changes can be made to the shape, size and general appearance of the nose. With this surgery, the nose can be reduced or enlarged, the arch on the back of the nose can be corrected, changes can be made in its contour and the raising of the nose tip can be adjusted.

However, the cartilage and bone structure of the person and the thickness of the skin allow for how much and to what extent all these can happen. The surgeon, who you consulted and examined before the operation, will clearly explain to you what your expectations should be.

We can list the main factors that cause rhinoplasty surgery as follows:

  • Arched nasal bone
  • Congenital deformity
  •  Intranasal structure disorders that cause breathing problems
  •  Deformity after a previous nose operation
  •  The tip of the nose, which is the most important area, is wide or thick
  •  A marked disproportion in the angle of the face and nose
  •  Those with excessively wide and narrow nostrils
  •  Having a crooked appearance
  •  Injuries that disrupt the asymmetry of the nose and deformations resulting from an accident

Nose Aesthetics Age Limit

Rhinoplasty can be performed physiologically after the age of 16 in women and after the age of 17 in men. There is no upper age limit if there is no obstacle to the surgery in terms of the general health status of the individual who will be operated on.

Although the general theoretical knowledge is like this, we review whether the patient we are evaluating while planning the surgery has entered the adolescence period, whether the height increase, especially the development of the facial bones, has been completed.

In some cases, even if the patient is in their early 20s, we recommend postponing the surgery if facial bone development has not been completed. On the other hand, if the patient has a serious nasal breathing problem or if the external appearance of the nose affects the candidate psychologically, it is rarely appropriate to plan surgery at an earlier age with the necessary evaluations and parental approval.

When planning rhinoplasty for patients in adolescence, we prefer to do it more in the transition period. For example, after finishing high school   It is usually more convenient for them to have surgery during the holiday period while going to university. Because they live in a very crowded environment in high school life. Their peers, who see the change in their friends, mostly follow many  they can comment.

Although we explain the process to our patients beforehand and give detailed information, a friend said, “I wish your nose was a little smaller” or “I wish you had a very raised nose,” especially in the 2nd and 3rd week, when the bandages were just opened and the nose was swollen. If it was more natural” or later this time another friend of hers said, “Oh look, is your nose too low, I wish you could lift it a little bit more”.

While they are trying to manage the adolescent psychology they are already in, they also start to feel like they have to make everyone like their new nose. For these reasons, performing surgery at that time makes this process difficult for both the patient and their parents.

That’s why we say to patients: “Have this surgery in a transitional period”. Thus, when the young patient goes to university after the surgery, she feels like she has gained a new personality and a new identity in a new environment, but we protect her from these early cruel comments by those around her. Similarly, if adults are also planning to move to a new job or a new environment, the best idea is to bring the rhinoplasty surgery to this pre-transition period.

Another effect of having this surgery during adolescence or psychologically sensitive periods can be as follows; Patient candidates think that all the problems in their lives will pass after rhinoplasty, of course, this is not the case.

When deciding on plastic surgery, it should be kept in mind that; Nose aesthetics can contribute to your appearance in a positive way, and your look, smile and image can change accordingly. It can increase your self-confidence… However, all of these may not be the solution to some of the major problems in your life.

How to Design Nose?

One of the most important questions from our patients is; “How do we design the nose that fits our face?” and “How do we do it?” While doing this, we design from a 2D profile when you come to our clinic. During the pre-operative interview, we prepare your photos with 3D programs.

While doing these, we are trying to create a nose that is suitable for your face, that is, suitable for your chin, forehead and cheeks. Because what we actually want to do is this; we’re trying to make your nose, an organ in the middle of your face, less conspicuous.

The nose is actually not a very beautiful organ when viewed in total, it is not an organ with a perception of beauty. For example, you can say to someone: “How beautiful are your eyes” or you can say “How beautiful are your eyebrows”, “How long and beautiful are your eyelashes”. But the sentence “How beautiful is your nose” is not very pronounced for a nose that has not undergone surgery. It is never said how beautiful your nose is, your nose hair is not visible, how beautiful your nose shines under the sun.

That’s why we scientifically define it as a “negative organ”. There are 2 negative organs in humans; One of them is the nose and the other is the ears. Similarly, you don’t look at anyone’s ear. You don’t consider this person’s ear as small, big or beautiful. But if his ear is prominent in any way, when he enters an environment, it immediately attracts your attention and becomes noticeable.

The nose is such an organ. If there is an organ in the middle of your face that attracts attention, it will be paid more attention by others and your eye will immediately shift to that side. You always look into the mouth of someone with crooked teeth, as if your eye is always stuck there… Therefore, when designing, it is necessary to accept an organ in the middle of your face as if it does not exist, and render it invisible.

That’s why scientifically   We need to reveal a nose according to the “golden ratio”. That’s why we show you how your nose can be, how it can be reduced, how it can be raised, from the profile, in 2D studies.

We show our patients before the surgery whether the newly designed organ in the middle of your face will suit you in a three-dimensional environment, how it will look when viewed from the opposite side, or what the lip-to-nose distance will be after the surgery, and how the forehead transition will look.

How Do I Choose the Right Nose for My Face?

While doing rhinoplasty research, people generally use their mobile phones more recently, because the phone is at hand and they can reach it much more easily. They look at social media and have opportunities to review doctors. Doctors put photos of the patients they are operating on.

In general, if you pay attention, these photos are from the operating room. Of course, it is very practical and easy to search on social media, but it can sometimes be misleading. For example, because the photos in the operating room are usually from a single profile, people have a very difficult time perceiving them. Because the photos in the operating room may seem a little more raised, a little more swollen or more abnormal because they were taken with such artificial lights. Generally life photos are a little more realistic.

What people actually want to see here is “Is my nose like this patient’s, will it be like this after the surgery?” or “How will it fit on my face?” they start to think. He has one nose on his head, so when he comes to see the doctor, the patient has a nose surgery plan in his head.

In fact, these are not very realistic things, because no one’s face is equal to anyone else’s, so I say to the patient; “If you find another face of yours, maybe I can make you a nose like hers.” But since the faces of identical twins are more or less different due to environmental factors, it is not appropriate to make the same nose even for them.

That’s why everyone should have a different nose. The difficulty of nose surgery comes from this, so everyone has to make a different design because everyone’s face is different.

While making this different design, we need to make different plans. A patient’s forehead, face, lips, teeth, chin, eye structure, eyebrow condition, we try to bring all of these together to create a harmony and try to pretend it’s natural. That’s why, after examining your own face, you have determined a few noses according to your head, but you need to determine a few doctors rather than these few noses.

That’s why you should go to the doctor, for example, go to doctor A first and ask what the result can be from my nose. Of course, that doctor will simulate an image for you. Let’s say you like this. However, our advice is that you should go to a doctor B or a C, D so that some issues are clear in your mind and your decision will mature.

If you go to a few doctors anyway, then you can find the truth better. Because in my opinion, there is a thing like nose surgery, a surgery that one can do once in a lifetime, so this year’s fashion is red sweater, next year’s fashion is burgundy sweater. Of course, you can buy both red and burgundy, but you can’t do something like this year’s trendy upturned nose and next year’s trendy nose.

In other words, it is very difficult to change your nose again, so you have to hit 12 at once and score a full goal. You need to reduce your margin of error in order to hit the target from the exact point. That’s why I think you will be much happier in the next process of nose surgery if you meet with at least 1-2 doctors and make your decision accordingly.

Where Should I Have the Surgery, Should I Stay in the Hospital?

We always want to perform our surgeries in a good hospital, because you need to use good materials to achieve the same quality result. Here, our material is our own handicraft and the hospital we use.

Because the anesthesia, instruments and drugs used here are very important. In the later process, patients generally think that it is like going to the hairdresser, but in fact, it is not like going to the hairdresser, so you get out of the hospital right away, but you can’t have that enormous nose. This will take approximately some time. We proceed to our surgical process by talking about this with our patient, that is, by explaining it very well, by preparing this process mutually. After having this interview with our patient, we start our surgery and perform the surgery.

The operation takes approximately two and a half to three hours. We want our patient to stay in the hospital for 1 night in the postoperative period. In fact, you can leave the hospital that night, but we always talk about the agreements with the hospitals in the form of 1 night stay. Because both in a comfortable environment and in a safe environment where you can do the interventions if you have nausea or pain  Your presence is better for us.

You are discharged from the hospital the next day. Of course, when you go out on the first day, you are a little happier. Because there is much less swelling and edema on your face. On the 1st day after the surgery, you may experience a little more swelling on your face.

Our patients do not have many bruises, of course, in rare cases, but we generally do not experience such a process. The biggest problem of aesthetic patients is; They go well on the way to the hospital and come out as sick when they leave. That’s why, no matter how much we explain it exactly, they hope too much that they can experience the process consciously like this, or that something like this will not happen to me. But this is a little different from treating patients. In plastic surgery, the hospital works a little bit wrong, because normally you go to the hospital, you go to the hospital, then you get a treatment and you come out healthy. But aesthetic patients enter the hospital intact on the way to the hospital, they get sick when they leave, so we make them sick in a way. This disease is as follows; they feel as if they are having a severe cold and flu.

Will My Nose Drop After Nose Surgery?

Will my nose fall out after surgery? It’s like an urban legend, so this is asked to me by every patient. After the operation, his relative had surgery, his nose fell out or disfigured, etc. In fact, what people say the most here is that the front of the nose goes down or looks longer than normal.

There are several reasons for this. 1. If you forcibly bring an anatomical structure to a place, for example, you have a facelift surgery and you try to hang one on your cheek with a rope. With this gravitational effect, it will definitely find its own place again. There is no rule of keeping the meat up in any way. What is called meat, that is, a structure whose skin can play more and moves against gravity. Therefore, it should not be pulled upwards with an operation that forces your nose or face upwards.

We always try to make our surgeries seem natural. Without hanging or stretching, using their own cartilage… Normally, we make a plan before the surgery and we make a new reshaping according to this plan, we make a modeling again from the nasal cartilage.

When looking at your nose, if your nose tip is low, we say that the lateral cartilages (cartilage) are longer, the upper cartilages are shorter or the anterior cartilage is shorter, and we reshape it from the bottom according to how much we want to lift it after the surgery. The bottom one forms the main structure that I call the frame.

It’s just like building a tent. You have to plant those poles in the tent very well. If you sew the tent well (the structure underneath), the fabric you will cover will show that structure. Therefore, with a good planning after the operation, we can predict where the nose should go and inform our patient.

There is no question of how much cartilage the patient has in the surgery, or if you determine how much cartilage is removed at work, and which part of the nose to reshape that cartilage and add it to which part of the nose, and if you perform an operation in this way, it is not a matter of getting it back to its original state. However, if you suspend the nose with a string or make another structure, or if you stretch your ear with a single string, that organ will be restored according to the techniques performed or sometimes with a forced operation.

Because the nose cannot resist gravity, the body’s resistance. For example, noses that are lifted with a rope or noses that are not well planned anatomically tend to return directly to their original state. We are trying to overcome these problems with the technique we apply in the surgery. We re-create the nose we will always make from scratch. We place all bone-cartilage structures on the bone-cartilage skeleton that we imagine and plan.

Thus, the main skeleton is formed. We are trying to adapt the skin on this skeleton. For this reason, nose tip drooping does not occur in the future after rhinoplasty surgeries performed with the right technique.

When Will My Postoperative Tampon and Bandage Remove?

We remove the tampons of our patients sometimes on the 3rd day and sometimes on the 6th day after the surgery. Although we try to make the process the easiest and most comfortable for the patient, sometimes patients may be more sensitive to this process and may feel uneasy while in the silicone nose.

In these patients, when we remove their tampons on the 3rd day, we clean our patient’s nose and when we clean it, the patients say things like “Oh, I’m so relieved, I had a good breath”. They really breathe well. Because there was a space occupying a volume and we emptied it all of a sudden, an unusual breath comes. There are two explanations for this; 1. You could not breathe at all. You took multiple breaths at once and needed to breathe so much that it burned your throat.

Another is that since we have cleaned the blood clots and the structures inside, we have opened your breathing according to normal after opening the airway. Then, after a couple of hours, because the edema has settled here again, 1-2 hours after removing the tampon, your breathing will gradually become blocked again and you may even start to be unable to breathe again for that day. The reason for this is that the place where the silicone puts pressure on that part for days and then is removed suddenly becomes edematous.

This will slowly start to pass, when? When you sleep well at night. Because normally, you can’t go to deep sleep at night because you can’t breathe easily through your nose. Since you cannot go to deep sleep, the body’s healing potential slows down, because your hormonal balance is not fully settled.

Whenever you can sleep comfortably at night, your edema starts to pass quickly. When you start to sleep comfortably at night, when your eating becomes normal, when you start to taste the food, your edema starts to pass much faster. We usually remove the splint on the 5th or 6th day of our patients.

After that, our patients feel much more relaxed because there is a great burden on them, and the bandage wearing condition also wears them out psychologically. Because “Will I hit it?, “Did my nose hurt or not?”, “How was the recovery rate?”.

When your splint is removed, there is less edema on the upper part of your nose, but a little more on the sides. The reason for this is that the upper sides of the plaster are placed more tightly, but the sides are placed more loosely. On the day of the splint removal (5-7th day), there is edema in the nose and face in general, even if no one else understands it.

Therefore, when the patient looks in the mirror, it is as if he is looking at someone else’s face. In summary, there may be swelling on the sides, slightly more swollen cheeks, swelling up to the upper part of the lips or the upper part of the cheeks, and even we can see yellow spots on the neck of some of our patients. These spots also heal and return to normal in a week or so.

How Should I Decide on Nose Surgery?

How is the nose surgery process? Another question is this in general. First of all, a  After negotiation, we make a design for you. Then we get the opinions of our patients and we have suggestions with a design again.

We find a middle ground, what matters is what the Patient wants and what we can give him. Here’s how much they overlap is important. If the patient’s expectations are slightly higher than what we can promise him, he may be unhappy after this surgery. In this case, we should ensure that the patient’s expectation is a little lower by telling him.

However, if his expectation is a little lower, we can guarantee that he will be happy after this surgery. Here, the patient’s expectation is very important. Because in fact, we want the same thing as both patients and surgeons. The patient wants the best result, and we want it too. We don’t have a conflict with the patient here. But we talk and discuss the possibility of what you want and imagine with the patient at length before the surgery. For example, a patient with thick skin wants a very small nose.

Just like a patient with a very large nose wants a very small nose. Or, when the face is too wide, the patient may have requests such as a very narrow nose. Because the patient generally thinks that when he likes a nose, when his nose changes, it can suit his own face. But because everyone’s face is different, not every nose fits everyone.

That’s why it’s very detailed  After a good examination, it is necessary to discuss the possible results. In this, we first make a two-dimensional design, then we make a three-dimensional design and plan the surgery.

How to Perform Controls After Nose Aesthetics

The first 7 days after rhinoplasty is the process of removing the silicone and splint, and we think that the 1st month controls are very important in the recovery process. That’s why we usually invite our patients for their 1st month checkups and we examine our patients there too. Actually, this is a palpation examination, that is, we check where the bones are and whether they have retained their original plane.

Sometimes minor mishaps can occur here, and the edema may actually change the location of the bones in the nose. In general, such results can occur in very crooked noses before surgery. If such a situation occurs, we recommend patients to change their massage again or to continue the massage in another way.

Another important issue here is massage. We usually start the massage at the beginning of the 2nd week for our patients. Massage has the advantage that the recovery is a little faster, but the nose swells a little more than normal when you are texting. But don’t let this swelling scare you because if you don’t massage it will take a longer time for the swelling to go down, but when you massage it, this time gets shorter.

The final result of our patients usually appears after the 3rd month for thin-skinned patients and after the 6th month for thick-skinned patients, and people become happier. Another point that you need to pay attention to here is when the plaster comes off; After removing the bandage on it, the nose seems to be much more upturned than usual.

This is due to edema. Since the edema shows your nose a little more upturned, you can see the lower part, that is, between the nose and the lips, much more. That’s why the nose seems to be more upturned than normal at that stage. Your lip movements are very limited and whenever your lip movements start to return to normal, then the nose starts to take its natural position normally and lower.

Can I Breathe Through My Nose After Nose Surgery?

On the 1st day after the nose surgery, your breathing may be a little less due to the edema that occurs in the nose. Actually, you can breathe when you breathe through your nose, because we use silicone and corrugated pads. But the brain works like this, if you breathe through an empty nose without touching the mucous membrane, the brain does not feel that you are breathing.

That’s why it always directs you to the mouth. Because of this, your lips are very dry. For this reason, your throat may burn, that is, you may be discharged from the hospital with a very dry throat as if you had pharyngitis. If this complaint develops, we want the patient to drink plenty of water afterwards. Green tea, parsley juice, pineapple helps to relieve edema a little faster.

Then, on the 2nd or 3rd day, the edema settles a little lower in the patient. At first, the edema, which is above, at eye level, begins to gradually descend, and the edema on the face, that is, on the cheeks, seems to have increased a little. As soon as we remove the tampons after the 3rd day, the patient relaxes a little more. He breathes much better.

But the important thing here is: When the patient breathes better, he gets rid of stress, the feeling of dryness in his mouth and the burning sensation in his throat are a little less, and he begins to have a more comfortable recovery period. After this tampon is removed after the 3rd day, the patient begins to sleep comfortably at night. When we start to sleep comfortably at night, our patient’s edema passes a little faster.

When Will My Nose Reach Its Final Shape

We are trying to prepare our patient psychologically during the rhinoplasty process. We talk about this with our patients while opening our splint and before the operation. Because when people look in the mirror, they feel as if they are looking at someone else’s face, “Is this me?”, “Can there be so much change?” They feel as if they are looking at someone else’s face. Of course, this does not take long, patients almost never remember their old noses in the following periods.

As soon as they say “Was I like this before” before getting rhinoplasty, they enter another photo of themselves on Social Media and when they look at their old photos they say “I’m glad I had this surgery”. The person in this process and the person at the end of the surgery are different. In this process, our payments are also starting to pass slowly. Our patient relaxes a little more. Because he sees the result in his nose and the worries in his head are gone.

Nose aesthetic After the 6th and 7th days after the surgery, we apply a bandage again after removing the splint on it, because the edema settles very quickly. As soon as we take the print on it, it looks just like this; As soon as you put on and take off a tight shoe, you cannot wear it again because the foot is swollen. Similarly, when we take the splint, the nose swells and becomes edematous. That’s why we bandage it again and tell our patient that don’t remove it for 3 days, and if you do, your face will look swollen again. On the 3rd day, we want the patient to take it out in the bathroom at home.

He removes the tan bands and the final result is revealed. But this result is very swollen compared to normal, there is approximately 80%-90% swelling compared to normal. This also varies from person to person. In general, thin-skinned patients respond more and swell more, but their stroke happens just as quickly.

But thick-skinned patients swell less and their stroke takes a long time. That’s why we try to explain this process a little bit by talking to our patients and we are in constant communication with them on WhatsApp; We help when they are worried. Approximately, we classify edema in two types here; 1- Acute period, 2-Chronic period

The acute period is almost all gone by the 5th day. This is approximately 50-60% of the edema. Therefore, the final result is seen after the 45th day, that is, after the 1st month. In other words, until you reach the 1st month period, some days your nose seems swollen and some days it seems to go down. But on the 10th day, when you clean the bandage and the inside of your nose and go to work, no one can understand that you have a nose surgery. There are two reasons for this.

1- Your nose is swollen, that is, it seems to be larger than normal. In fact, we are making a small nose, but people cannot perceive it because they suddenly see a more swollen and swollen nose than normal. 2- Since the noses we make are natural, people cannot pay attention to it.

“I mean, even when people see you after the surgery, they start to say, “Oh, did you do something to your lip?”, “Did you have something done under the eye?”, “Oh, there’s been a change in you”. It starts to happen after week 2. It gradually starts to decrease day by day.

But every morning when they get up, their noses are much more swollen, they go down a little more when they go to bed in the evening, or they may have drank a little water during the day or ate a little salty food, even these are factors that affect the edema in your nose. Because the structure of edema can vary according to the person, lifestyle and even the environment.
